UPDATE: FORUM ON POLICE
ACCOUNTABILITY JUNE 13, 2015
A BIG THANK YOU to all the people that attended the powerful Community Forum on Police Accountability held this Saturday June 13, 2015 at Teamster City in Chicago
It brought together over 150 community activists and veteran organizers from all the various strands of the peoples movement. It was a gathering of Black, Brown, White, and Asian community members united in the fight back for CPAC–for community control of the Chicago Police. It was a teach -in involving organizers, survivors of police crimes and militant, Fight (4) 15 workers. Also members of BYP100, Black Lives Matter, Arab American Action Network, Church of the Living God, SEIU Local 73, the National Filipino Alliance, and survivors like Rekia Boyd’s brother Martinez Sutton, Flint Farmer’s father Emmet Farmer and Howard Morgan, and many others who we will be sure to name when we give a full credentials report. Watch this space for the report and CPAC video that was part of the event.
